winter unwrapped itself slowly
today it vanishes like a naked fool
deep, deep into the dark wood to find some covering,
but gone,
gone from view
long ago and hidden
beneath that frozen ground,
You planted promise
and the ground has never forgotten this
so tries to shake off the cold
and pushes out a song
the robins who have a voice already
mimic the song
and we all can hear
and sometimes see
these wide throated proclamations
Psalm 149:4 "FOR THE LORD TAKES PLEASURE IN HIS PEOPLE;
HE WILL BEAUTIFY THE AFFLICTED ONES WITH SALVATION."
